NEW changed ownership!!! Burgess Brothers should know this place still reps their name and under this new ownership should know it's not good and it's not the same. Walked in on a Friday at 430 Pm to order up some racks of ribs and sides. The place was empty and one girl who was washing a load of dishes. She had to ask a man in the back do we have any ribs? He tells her NO.
Uh the entire point of this place which was known for the ribs and you have none?
We left. It did not even smell the same either as it did under original Burgess Brothers ownership. -

I recommend reading the bad reviews. We saw the reviews that were 4& up and disregarded the 1-3 stars. Should have went with the lower ones.
First time coming here and I'll not be returning. The food was mediocre , the Mac & Cheese was a big ass disappointed. It was super dry and the cheese on top wasn't even melted. I got baked beans with it and it was served to me slightly warm, then was cold within mins. Ribs were good and the tri tip was ok. -

Not Burgess Brothers anymore please remove the "false advertising" not cool. We used to go not just for the food but also support Black Owned and Operated businesses in Sactown (which are few).
Good luck to the new owners i am sure the food is great, however after being tricked into thinking it was BB we took our business else where. PLEASE update your signage, website and this page to reflect "under new management" and cover up the old BB signage with your actual name.
Peace,

Nothing like some good BBQ to get the day going. I was in the area and decided to stop by for an early lunch. As this was my second time here, I decided to try something a bit different than last time.
I went with the Two Meat Plate ($17). I got the Smoked Chicken and Tri-Tip for the meats. It also comes with 2 sides, so I chose Onion Rings and Mac N Cheese. I also got an extra side of Coleslaw ($2).
Both meats were pretty good, but slightly dry! I really had to use up the BBQ sauce to make it taste better. I do still prefer the brisket over tri-tip. The onion rings and coleslaw were solid sides to go with for the BBQ meats. The mac n cheese tasted fine but was a bit lacking in cheese, which was a bit disappointing.
I like that this plate lasted me 2 meals, so for the price of ~$20, it was more worth it. Overall, it's a good try if you're in the area.
